Citation and Referencing Policy
Jurnal Perspektif Hukum & Konstitusi requires accurate, complete, consistent, and verifiable citations. References must support the legal analysis and enable readers to locate the authorities relied upon.
Citation Style
Official citation style
The journal adopts [insert the officially selected citation style or legal citation system].
The chosen style must be applied consistently to in-text citations, footnotes, case citations, legislation, and the reference list as specified by the official template.
Accuracy and Completeness
Authors must verify author names, titles, publication dates, journal or publisher details, volume and issue, page ranges, DOI or URL, and other required metadata.
- For legislation, verify the official title, number, year, relevant provisions, amendment status, and official source.
- For judicial decisions, verify the court, case number, date, and relevant holding.
Primary and Secondary Legal Materials
Authors should distinguish primary legal materials, such as legislation, treaties, and judicial decisions, from secondary sources such as books, journal articles, and commentaries.
Sources should be authoritative, relevant, and appropriate to the legal issue.
DOI and Electronic Sources
DOI links should be included for scholarly publications whenever available.
Electronic legal materials should link to official or reliable sources where possible. URLs must be checked and citation details should reflect the version actually consulted.
Reference Management Software
Authors may use Zotero, Mendeley, EndNote, or other reference-management tools.
Automatically generated citations must be checked manually, especially for legal materials that may not be correctly formatted by general-purpose software.
Citation Ethics
Authors must not invent references, cite authorities they have not reasonably verified, misrepresent a source’s holding, or add irrelevant citations solely to manipulate citation metrics.
Excessive or coercive self-citation should be avoided.
Editorial Verification
The Editorial Office may request correction of incomplete, inconsistent, inaccurate, or unverifiable citations before publication.
Editorial Commitment
The journal seeks to ensure that legal arguments are supported by traceable, reliable, and accurately represented authorities.
