Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy
Responsible use of artificial intelligence in scholarly research, peer review, and editorial practice.
Editorial Policy
Jurnal Ekonomi, Bisnis, dan Manajemen recognizes that artificial intelligence (AI) tools may assist research, writing, translation, data analysis, and editorial activities.
AI use must remain transparent, responsible, and consistent with academic integrity, research ethics, and human accountability.
Use of AI by Authors
Authors may use appropriate AI tools for permitted purposes such as language editing, grammar correction, translation assistance, and organization of text.
Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, validity, and integrity of all submitted content.
AI-generated references, statistical interpretations, financial analyses, market data, and factual claims must be verified before submission.
AI must not be used to fabricate data, invent references, misrepresent research findings, manipulate financial evidence, or conceal plagiarism.
Disclosure of AI Use
Authors must disclose substantive AI assistance in the development of manuscript content, analysis, research outputs, or generated figures where required by the journal.
Disclosures should identify the relevant tool, purpose, and extent of its contribution.
Routine spelling, grammar, and basic language-editing assistance may be exempt from disclosure when permitted by the journal's instructions.
AI Authorship
AI systems cannot be listed as authors or co-authors because they cannot assume responsibility for the research, approve the final manuscript, disclose conflicts of interest, or respond to editorial inquiries.
Human authors remain responsible for the complete manuscript.
AI Use by Reviewers
Reviewers must maintain manuscript confidentiality and must not upload unpublished manuscripts, confidential financial information, proprietary business data, or identifying author information to AI services where confidentiality and data protection cannot be assured.
AI-generated assessments must not replace independent expert judgment.
AI Use by Editors
Editors must protect confidential submissions and exercise independent judgment.
Any permitted AI assistance must comply with confidentiality, privacy, and data-protection requirements. Final editorial decisions remain the responsibility of authorized human editors.
AI-Generated Data and Research Materials
AI-generated figures, datasets, tables, financial analyses, and other research materials must not misrepresent the underlying evidence.
Authors must disclose relevant AI use and comply with applicable copyright, licensing, privacy, and research ethics requirements.
The journal may request clarification regarding the origin or generation of research materials.
Violations
Undisclosed or inappropriate AI use that compromises accuracy, originality, confidentiality, or research integrity may lead to further investigation and appropriate editorial action.
Editorial Commitment
Jurnal Ekonomi, Bisnis, dan Manajemen supports responsible AI use while maintaining transparency, human accountability, and the integrity of scholarly publishing.
